PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external fixator which has a small number of components and simple structure and furthermore enables a joint to be separated and articular cartilage lesion to be treated.SOLUTION: The external fixator 10 includes a pin 12a attached to a bone part B and pins 12b, 12c attached to a bone part C. A first magnet part 14 including a first permanent magnet 20 is attached to the pin 12a. A second magnet part 16 including a second permanent magnet 28 is attached to the pins 12b, 12c. The first magnet part 14 has a projection part 14a whose cross section orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the pin 12a is of an arch and projecting shape.
