PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve continuity of a stretchable area across left and right side panels.SOLUTION: In a tape type disposable diaper, side panels 13 are fitted to both side parts of a girth part of a back side part B respectively, and a waist stretchable sheet 90 is provided for the back side part B. The side panels 13 have: distal end parts 13B fitted to the back side part B connection parts 13A removably connected to an outer surface of an abdominal side part F side stretchable areas 13E stretching in a width direction WD provided for a part between at least the distal end parts 13B and the connection parts 13A. The waist stretchable sheet 90 has both end parts in the width direction WD that are non-stretchable areas 96, and a part between the non-stretchable areas 96 is an intermediate stretchable area 95 stretching in the width direction WD.
