Disclosed are (4-(alkylsulfonamido)phenyl)-N-(alkylphenyl)-alkylamide derivatives of the general formula A, wherein at least one of T, U V and W are Nitrogen which are optionally substituted and wherein the remaining substituents are as defined herein. Further disclosed is a medicament which contains a compound as defined above for the treatment and/or prevention of one or more diseases selected from the group consisting of depression neuropathy nerve injury neurodegenerative diseases cognitive dysfunction epilepsy pain psoriasis vitiligo herpes simplex inflammation diarrhoea pruritus osteoporosis arthritis osteoarthritis rheumatic diseases asthma, bronchitis and pulmonary inflammation.
