The present invention generally presents an alternative natural product to the existing direct pulp capping material used in dentistry. There are known pulp capping materials namely Calcium hydroxide, Calcium silicate, mineral trioxide aggregate, hydroxyapatite, biodentin, etc. The present invention provides a process of manufacturing a biomaterial out of Pink Salmon (Oncorhynchus gorbuscha) fish bones. This will be mixed with sterile water in 1:1 liquid/powder ratio prior to application in the pulp exposure and cavity preparation. It also discloses a material that is characterized with nanoparticle size, mild alkalinity, favorable setting time, and biocompatibility with pulp tissues.
