A guide that fits over a paddle link in a paddle-type elevator in a harvestercombine grainelevator. The plastic guide provides a wide, low-friction surface that rideson the intermediatewall of a grain elevator, thereby keeping the paddle links from rubbingagainst and causing wear tothe intermediate wall. The guide also serves to inhibit the paddle fromtipping back, therebypreventing the concentration of force by one corner of a paddle link againstthe intermediate wall.The guide also helps maintain the correct orientation of flexible paddleagainst the inside of theelevator housing, thereby inhibiting the paddle from tipping back and leakinggrain back into theupward path of the conveyor. The plastic guide also reduces noise caused bythe metal parts of apaddle-type elevator from coming into contact.
