PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface sheet of absorptive article which has high liquid draw-in performance, hardly has residual liquid on a superficial part, and hardly causes liquid returning.SOLUTION: The surface sheet of an absorptive article includes a first layer 11 and a second layer 12. The first layer includes hot-melt conjugate fiber which is composed of thermally extensible fiber extended by heat treatment. The second layer is composed of a fiber layer which includes latent crimp fiber and is formed by a card method. A number of projection parts 14 including the fiber constituting the first layer and the fiber constituting the second layer are formed in the face side of the first layer 11. In a longitudinal cross section view in a plane including a top part and a joint part 13 of the projection part 14, the second layer 12 rises to the first layer 11 side to get into the first layer 11.
