The invention includes a hoof trimming chute for animals including live stock where the hoof trimming chute is constructed around four vertical corner posts including two front corner posts where in direction towards the front ends of the animals and two rear corner posts in direction towards the rear ends of the animals and where the hoof trimming chute is provided with a floor (12) and a rear end gate (20) where the hoof trimming chute includes at least one, preferably two, adjustable foreleg holders (1) and at least one adjustable hind leg support (21). The invention also includes application of hoof trimming chute for cattle including milk cows. With the invention the necessity of the hoof trimming staff having to put their arms in below the animals, which are to be hoof trimmed, is removed, whereby the risk of injuries on the hoof trimming staff, as a result of kicks from the animals, is reduced to a minimum.Linvention concerne une cage de contention pour parage du pied danimaux, notamment de bétail. La cage de contention est construite autour de quatre poteaux dangle verticaux, dont deux poteaux dangle avant aux extrémités avant des animaux et deux poteaux dangle arrière aux extrémités arrière des animaux. La cage de contention comprend un plancher (12) et une porte dextrémité arrière (20) au moins un, de préférence deux supports de pattes avant réglables (1) et au moins un support de patte arrière réglable (21). Linvention concerne également lutilisation dune cage de contention pour parage du pied du bétail, notamment des vaches laitières. Grâce à linvention, le personnel de parage du pied na plus besoin de mettre les bras au-dessous des animaux soumis à parage du pied, ce qui réduit au minimum le risque de blessures résultant des ruades des animaux.
