PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lift device for bathing, which easily moves a bathing person to the inside or outside of the main body of a bathtub, enables the repeated movement of a chair part freely with a simple operation by easier positioning of the chair part, and further facilitates the positioning of the chair part to match the purposes of application by automatically locking the chair part at the subsequent locking position while retaining means maintain the release of retention to the position still after the releasing operation for it is turned off.

SOLUTION: The lift device for bathing is provided with a first retaining means which elastically locks the oscillation between a support arm and an oscillation arm and a second retaining means which elastically locks the oscillation between the oscillation arm and the chair part. When one retaining means releases its retention, either the other retaining means does. Even if they are oscillated once the locking is released, the release of the locking can be maintained up to the subsequent locking position still after the releasing operation is turned off, while the other retaining means can maintain the release of its retention free from the locking by one retaining means.
