PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information acquisition device and a method capable of accurately acquiring information related to a blood vessel.SOLUTION: An information acquisition device comprises first part to fourth part 505. The first part acquires plural pieces of image data including an imaged portion containing a blood vessel. The second part generates difference image data which is data obtained by difference processing between different image data, selected from plural pieces of image data. The third part acquires index data in plural pieces of image data including the difference image data. The fourth part selects image data or related information of the image data, based on the index data. The second part performs difference processing between the different image data formed of the image data selected based on blood flow variation information on one region of the imaged portion.
