PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improvement technology for identifying a membrane boundary of a blood vessel in an ultrasonic image.SOLUTION: A streaked image emphasis processing part 30 emphasizes a streaked image corresponding to a longitudinal direction by the processing using a two-dimensional filter longer in a longitudinal direction of a blood vessel than in s short axis direction in an ultrasonic image indicating a cross section of the blood vessel. Based on an output value of the two-dimensional filter, a trace line candidate extraction part 40 extracts a plurality of trace line candidates which are candidates for a membrane boundary of the blood vessel in the ultrasonic image in which the streaked image is emphasized.
