PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to indicate any urination within a diaper, which technique enables the diaper to effectively discolor even by urine in a small volume, while making it difficult to do so when it comes into contact with moisture in air.
SOLUTION: An elongated pocket 56P consisting of at least either an absorptive material having lower basis weight than the area around it or a material other than the absorptive material free of basis weight is extended at the lateral center of an absorptive material 56 in a longitudinal direction of the diaper so that the pocket 56 may include the point of excretion discharge by a wearer, and where an excretion indicator 90 that will discolor when it comes into contact with such excretion liquid is extended in a longitudinal direction between the absorptive material 56 and a liquid-impermeable sheet 11 along the side of the pocket 56P so that all or part of lateral width of the excretion indicator 90 may overlap the area other than the pocket 56P running along its side.
