An ostomy appliance for attachment to the stoma body comprising an adhesive wafer and a collecting pouch attachable to an adhesive wafer, the wafer comprises a backing layer and a skin-facing adhesive layer, wherein the adhesive skin-facing surface of the wafer is provided with a release liner covering the skin-facing surface of the adhesive layer, the release liner comprising at least a first part and a second part, the first and the second part being interconnected along a predefined folding line and wherein both the first and the second part of the release liner is in contact with the adhesive.
