The invention relates to a drug delivery aid (6), comprising a substantially flat contact element (7) with a first surface (8) adapted to support a drug delivery device (1) with an extendable injection needle (4), and a second surface (12) opposite the first surface (8) adapted to be placed on an injection site, wherein a first aperture (9) is arranged in the contact element (7) adapted to allow extension of the injection needle (4) of the drug delivery device (1) through the first aperture (9).
