PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin external preparation which can enhance percutaneous absorption of arbutin, and application method of the same.SOLUTION: A skin external preparation is provided in which a water-based medicinal liquid and carbon dioxide is encapsulated in an aerosol container. The water-based medicinal liquid is liquid containing arbutin, water, and a polysaccharide-based polymer in which viscosity is 5 to 1,000 mPa s. The arbutin is 0.01 to 10.0 mass% of the skin external preparation. The water-based medicinal liquid is injected as foam and the like with carbon dioxide from the aerosol container. The foam 1 is preferably injected into a liquid suction member 2 which has a space larger than a diameter of the foam. The foam 1 is intruded into the space while at least a piece of the foam is not broken, and the foam is absorbed into the liquid suction member 2 while a piece or all of the foam is being defoamed. When the liquid suction member 2 is pasted on a skin 3, carbon dioxide contained in the defoamed foam continuously contacts with the skin 3 to maintain percutaneous absorption effect of arbutin.【課題】アルブチンの経皮吸収を促進することができる皮膚外用剤とその使用方法を提供する。【解決手段】水性薬液と二酸化炭素とをエアゾール容器に封入した皮膚外用剤である。前記水性薬液は、アルブチンと水と多糖類系高分子とを含有した粘度５～１，０００ｍＰａ・ｓの液体であり、前記皮膚外用液中、前記アルブチンが０．０１～１０．０重量％配合されたものである。エアゾール容器から、水性薬液が二酸化炭素と共に泡状等で噴射される。泡１は、その直径よりも大きな空間を有する吸液部材２に噴射されることが望ましい。泡１は、少なくとも一部が破れることなく前記空間内に侵入して、その一部または全量が消泡しながら吸液部材２に吸収される。吸液部材２が皮膚３に貼り付けられた際に、消泡した泡に含まれる二酸化炭素が持続的に皮膚３に接触して、アルブチンの経皮吸収効果を持続する。【選択図】図１
