Fluid dispersal systems and methods ofcontrolling such systems are provided. A method foremitting a fluid from an aerial fluid dispersal systemincludes receiving data corresponding to an initial aerialdistribution profile of fluid emitted by the aerial fluiddispersal system across a distribution width. The fluid isemitted through a plurality of individually controllednozzle assemblies, and an emission rate of the fluidemitted from a respective nozzle assembly of the pluralityof nozzle assemblies is based on an operating parameter ofa valve assembly of the respective nozzle assembly. Themethod also includes determining an effect of the emissionrate of each respective nozzle assembly on the initialaerial distribution profile of the fluid across thedistribution width. The method also includes controllingthe operating parameter of each respective valve assemblyto adjust the emission rate of each respective nozzleassembly to generate a compensated distribution profile.
