The present invention relates to anhydrous colored cosmetic powders comprising at least one natural or synthetic silicate and at least one dye. During its manufacture, such powder may subsequently be contacted with an aqueous phase that is dried and not present at its final stage. The present invention also relates to a cosmetic composition comprising a non-aqueous phase comprising an aqueous phase and at least one colored powder portion, wherein the colored powder portion comprises at least one natural or synthetic silicate and at least one dye. Such silicates present in these colored cosmetic powders or cosmetic compositions, when in contact with an aqueous solution, can absorb the water-soluble portion of the dye released from the powder and thus prevent the problem of metastasis.
