<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tree protecting device for protecting a planted tree until the tree grows big, and suppressing wind such as building wind so as to prevent growth of the tree from being inhibited with wind such as building wind. <；P>；SOLUTION: This tree protecting device 1 protects a tree 21 and suppresses wind such as building wind. The device has a leg part 2 set on a foundation 25 so as to surround the lower part of the trunk 22 of the tree 21, and a windbreak part 10 detachably attached to the upper part of the leg part 2, and surrounds the upper part of the trunk 22 and the branches 23 of the tree 21. The windbreak part 10 has a main part 11 whose center is hollow and which is formed from an outer fence having voids enabling natural lighting and ventilation.
