Here provided is a method for regulating retinal endothelial cell viability in a mammal by administering to the mammal a therapeutically effective amount of a quinic acid analog. The method may be applied to prevent, treat or cure pathological conditions of retinal endothelial cells associated with radiation retinopathy, diabetic retinopathy and chemotherapy for retinoblastoma.Linvention concerne une méthode de régulation de la viabilité des cellules endothéliales rétiniennes chez un mammifère en lui administrant une quantité thérapeutique efficace dun analogue de lacide quinique. La méthode sert à prévenir, traiter ou soigner les pathologies touchant les cellules endothéliales rétiniennes associées à la rétinopathie par rayonnement, à la rétinopathie diabétique et à la chimiothérapie du rétinoblastome.
