The present invention pertains to a disposable diaper (1) provided with an absorbent body (4) that contains an absorbent polymer and pulp fibers. The absorbent body (4) has a central absorbent body (5) in a crotch part (C), and side absorbent bodies (6, 6) positioned on both sides of the central absorbent body (5), with a space disposed between the central absorbent body (5) and each side absorbent body (6). The central absorbent body (5) and each side absorbent body (6) are divided into front sections (5f, 6f) and back sections (5b, 6b) by a center line (CL) in the width direction of the absorbent body, said center line (CL) dividing the entire length of the absorbent body (4) into two equal parts. If the basis weight ratios for the pulp fibers of the front section (5f) of the central absorbent body (5), the back section (5b) of the central absorbent body (5), the front section (6f) of the side absorbent bodies (6), and the back sections (6b) of the side absorbent bodies (6) are specified, in this order, as CF, CB, SF and SB, then the relationships CF > CB > SB, and CF > SF > SB are satisfied.
