Disclosed are oxazole substituted 4-azabicyclo[2.2.2]octane compounds of formula (I) where the substituents are as disclosed in the specification. Examples of compounds of formula (I) are: (R)-N-(6-(3-Methoxyphenyl)pyrimidin-4-yl)-4H-1-azaspiro[oxazole-5,3-bicyclo[2.2.2]octan]-2-amine (R)-2-(4H-1-azaspiro[oxazole-5,3-bicyclo[2.2.2]octane]-2-ylamino)thiazolo[5,4-b]pyridin-5(4H)-one and (R)-N-(5-Bromo-4-(pyridin-3-yl)pyrimidin-2-yl)-4H-1-azaspiro[oxazole-5,3-bicyclo[2.2.2]octan]-2-amine. Also disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of formula (I) and the use of a compound of formula (I) in the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of schizophrenia or Alzheimers Disease.
