PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard pot and a tray for the hard pot which are suitable for mechanizing a spacing work and also contribute to workability improvement, and a spacing method of seedling using the pot and the tray.SOLUTION: A hard pot of the present invention has a size where a large number of cultivation pots are arrayed vertically and horizontally on a tray and can be used, includes an opening part (upper surface opening part) on a top surface, and includes a flange protruding outward on a peripheral edge of the upper surface opening part. The flange is supportable by an arm of an operation apparatus which operates the cultivation pot, and equipped with rigidity in which the flange is not distorted even when it is supported and lifted by the arm of the operation apparatus.
