Disclosed herein is a system for treating a tissue of an animal patient. The system may include a display and input device, and at least one instrument chosen from an impulse stimulator instrument and an acoustic oscillator. The impulse stimulator is configured to apply a percussive massage comprising one or more force impulses. The impulse stimulator is further configured to measure a response of the tissue to one of the applied force impulses to assess a condition of the tissue. The acoustic oscillator is configured to apply an acoustic stimulation comprising one or more acoustic pulses to the tissue of the animal patient.
