The invention provides novel pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of keratoconjunctivitis sicca comprising liquid vehicles which include one or more semifluorinated alkanes. The compositions incorporate an active ingredient selected from the group of macrolide immunosuppressants. They can be administered topically into the eye.
