The present invention relates to plant food supplement comprising low molecular weight carrageenan. More specifically, the present invention relates to plant food supplement comprising carrageenan with an increased radiolytic component having a molecular weight of 1.5 to 2kDa produced by a process of irradiating aqueous carrageenan with a minimum dose of 10 KGy in the presence of an additive. The method of application is also disclosed herein.
