A medical device for implantation in a hip joint of a patient, the natural hip joint having a ball shaped caput femur integrated with a collum femur having a collum and caput center axis, extending longitudinal along the collum and caput femur, in the center thereof, as the proximal part of the femoral bone with a convex hip joint surface towards the centre of the hip joint and a bowl shaped acetabulum as part of the pelvic bone with a concave hip joint surface towards the centre of the hip joint, the medical device comprising； an artificial caput femur comprising a convex surface towards the centre of the hip joint, an elongated portion adapted to be connected to a prosthetic spherical portion of said artificial convex caput femur and fixated to the pelvic bone of the human patient.La présente invention concerne un dispositif médical destiné à être implanté au niveau de l'articulation de la hanche d'un patient, l'articulation naturelle comportant une tête de fémur de forme sphérique intégrée à un col de fémur, le col et la tête du fémur partageant le même axe central qui se prolonge longitudinalement le long du col et de la tête du fémur, au centre de ceux-ci, cela formant la partie proximale du fémur, caractérisée par une surface articulaire convexe en direction du centre de l'articulation de la hanche. Ladite articulation comporte également un acétabulum en forme de cuvette faisant partie de l'os pelvien et caractérisé par une surface articulaire concave en direction du centre de l'articulation de la hanche. Ledit dispositif médical comprend une tête de fémur artificielle comportant une surface convexe en direction du centre de l'articulation de la hanche, une partie allongée conçue pour être reliée à une partie sphérique de ladite tête de fémur artificielle convexe, et fixée à l'os pelvien du patient humain.
