PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive driving device that transmits driving force with one motor and a reduction gear through a differential lock of a differential device because a driving device built in a bearing has a fault of becoming expensive due to the production of an exclusive motor and reduction gear required for and adapted to each wheel although a driving device for driving and rotating wheels of a conventional wheelchair is formed to be foldable while having motors and reduction gears built in bearings of the respective right and left wheels and including a control panel for regulating the right and left driving force.SOLUTION: A driving device D includes, at a motor 7, a motor shaft 9 having a hypoid pinion 10 a hypoid gear 11 meshed with the motor shaft 9 a first gear 13 rotatably pivoted to and built in the hypoid gear 11 a second gear 14 orthogonally meshed with the first gear 13 and a differential device S transmitting the rotation of the second gear 14 to a large wheel 2 as an output shaft 15.
