The application concerns an autoinjector comprising a syringe, a driver for driving the plunger of the syringe and a stabilising adaptor for holding the injector on the skin of a patient. The stabilising adaptor has an adhesive base with a long axis to short axis ratio of at least 1.5 to 1. The syringe is orientated with its axis at an angle of between 60 and 120 degrees to the base during operation of the autoinjector.
