The device comprises: a plurality of coils having the different number of windings, generating an alternating magnetic field when an alternating current is applied； a susceptor for generating an aerosol by heating an adjacent aerosol-generating substrate in a manner that generates heat in the alternating magnetic field generated from the coils； and a control unit for controlling a preset alternating current to be supplied to each of the coils, wherein the control unit controls a first portion and a second portion constituting the susceptor to be differentially heated by the alternating current supplied to the plurality of coils.
