L'invention concerne un dispositif destiné à assister un mouvement vers une station debout d'une personne assise dans un fauteuil (1), le dispositif comportant un châssis (11) pourvu d'éléments de fixation, un enrouleur； et une toile (17), ladite toile (17) étant agencée pour couvrir l'assise (3) et le dossier (2) du fauteuil (1), être enroulée autour du rouleau (15) au niveau de sa première extrémité et être fixée à l'armature (4) du fauteuil (1) au niveau de sa seconde extrémité de manière à ce que, une force de traction exercée sur la toile (17) par l'enrouleur, déplace ladite toile (17) d'une position de repos dans laquelle la toile (17) est relâchée et repose contre l'assise (3) et le dossier (3) vers une position tendue dans laquelle ladite toile (17) est tendue entre un bord supérieur du dossier (2) et un bord avant de l'assise (3), opposé au dossier (2), de sorte à assister le mouvement d'un personne assise dans le fauteuil (1) vers la station debout.
