A medical device includes an elongated body including an outer surface havingaplurality of barbs extending therefrom and an inner surface defining a lumentherethrough. Theelongated body includes at least one channel extending through the innersurface and the outersurface, the channel defined between an inner surface of one of the pluralityof barbs and a cutouter surface of the elongated body. A wound treatment material is disposedwithin the lumen ofthe elongated body. The barb is configured to move between a first position toclose the channeland retain the wound treatment material within the lumen and a second positionto open thechannel and permit the release of the wound treatment material therethrough.
