The invention relates to a gastroenteric therapeutic composition for oral administration, comprising a compound of monomeric (+)-catechin and at least one basic amino acid, said composition being characterized in that it is used in the form of a complex of (+)-catechin and at least one basic amino acid or at least one derivative or precursor of a basic amino acid for the curative and/or preventive treatment of cancer, said complex having a molar equivalence ratio of the monomeric (+)-catechin to the at least one basic amino acid or the at least one basic amino acid derivative of between 1:1 and 1:2.5.Composition thérapeutique gastro-entérique à administration orale comprenant un composé de (+)-catéchine monomérique et d'au moins un acide aminé basique, ladite composition étant caractérisée en ce qu'elle est utilisée sous forme d'un complexe de (+)-catéchine et d'au moins un acide aminé basique ou d'au moins un dérivé ou précurseur d'un acide aminé basique pour le traitement curatif et/ou préventif du cancer, ledit complexe présentant un ratio d'équivalence molaire de ladite (+)-catéchine monomérique par rapport audit au moins un acide aminé basique ou audit au moins un dérivé d'acide aminé basique est compris entre 1 : 1 et 1 : 2,5.
