PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil body whose tip side curves easily and which combines satisfactory pushing ability and good slipperiness, and to provide a guide wire, a catheter, and a medical treatment instrument which include the coil body.SOLUTION: A coil body 10 comprises: a part where a first element wire 11 is wound spirally and a part where a second element wire 12 which is at the base edge side is wound spirally. In vertical cross-sectional view of the coil body 10, the cross-section of the first element wire 11 has a curvature shape which is convex toward the inner peripheral side, and the cross-section of the second element wire 12 has a rectangle shape. The outer peripheral surface of the first element wire 11 and the outer peripheral surface of the second element wire 12 are continuous to be a continuous surface. Thereby, the coil body whose tip side curves easily and which combines satisfactory pushing ability and good slipperiness can be formed. Thus, the coil body can be suitably used for a guide wire, a catheter, and a medical treatment instrument or the like which require these characteristics.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】先端側が湾曲し易く、且つ、十分なプッシャビリティと、良好な滑り性とを兼ね備えるコイル体、およびコイル体を備えるガイドワイヤ、カテーテル、医療用処置具を提供する【解決手段】第1の素線11をらせん状に巻回した部分と、その基端側の第2の素線12をらせん状に巻回した部分とから成るコイル体10であって、コイル体10の縦断面視における第1の素線11の断面は内周側に凸状の湾曲形状であり、コイル体10の縦断面視における第2の素線12の断面は矩形形状であり、第1の素線11の外周面と第2の素線12の外周面とは、連続した連続面とする。こうすれば、先端側が湾曲し易く、且つ、十分なプッシャビリティと、良好な滑り性とを兼ね備えるコイル体を形成することできる。従って、こうした特性が求められるガイドワイヤ、カテーテル、および医療用処置具などに、好適に用いることが可能となる。【選択図】図2
