To provide a medicinal composition for treatment of an ischemic heart disease.
SOLUTION: The medicinal composition for treatment of an ischemic heart disease includes phlorizin (chemical name: 1- [2- (&beta - D-glucopyranosyloxy) - 4,6-dihydroxyphenyl] - 3- (4-hydroxyphenyl) - 1-propanone) as an active ingredient. Namely, the medicinal composition includes phlorizin, its prodrug, or its salt permitted in pharmacology as an active ingredient which has a protective action of ischemia cardiac muscle and a cardiac dysrhythmias outgrowth inhibiting action at the time of ischemia, and is useful for treatment of an ischemic heart disease of asangina pectoris, myocardial infarction and or the like.
