According to one embodiment, in a wearable device and an operating method, the operating method comprises: according to a wearing of the wearable device, an operation determining conditions obtaining biometric information through a biometric information sensing unit, on the basis of any one among setting information stored in a memory contained in the wearable device, information obtained from a motion sensing unit, information obtained from a location sensing unit, information obtained from a wireless communication unit, and information obtained from the biometric information sensing unit； an operation which stores the conditions obtaining the determined biometric information and the biometric information obtained on the basis of the conditions in the memory or an external server； an operation comparing the designated biometric information with a preset setting value； an operation determining an additional biometric information obtaining condition on the basis of the comparison result； and an operation controlling the wearable device or other electronic device capable of connecting to the wearable device on the basis of the comparison result. In an operating method of an electronic device, other embodiments can be provided in the same or similar range of the present invention, not limiting the aforementioned method.한 실시 예에 따르면, 웨어러블 장치 및 동작 방법에 있어서, 상기 웨어러블 장치의 착용 여부에 따라서, 상기 웨어러블 장치에 포함된 메모리에 저장된 설정 정보, 움직임 감지부에서 획득한 정보, 위치 감지부에서 획득한 정보, 무선 통신부에서 획득한 정보, 생체 정보 감지부에서 획득한 정보 중 적어도 하나를 기반으로 상기 생체 정보 감지부를 통해서 생체 정보를 획득하는 조건을 결정하는 동작과, 상기 결정한 생체 정보를 획득하는 상기 조건과 상기 조건 따라 획득한 상기 생체 정보를 상기 메모리 또는 외부의 서버에 저장하는 동작과, 상기 지정된 생체 정보를 기 설정된 설정 값과 비교하는 동작과, 상기 비교 결과에 따라서 생체 정보 추가 획득 조건을 결정하는 동작과, 상기 비교 결과에 따라서 상기 웨어러블 장치 또는 상기 웨어러블 장치와 연결 가능한 다른 전자 장치를 제어하는 동작을 포함할 수 있다.. 전자 장치의 동작 방법에 있어서 상술한 방법에 한정하지 않고 본 발명의 동일 또는 유사한 범위에서 다른 실시 예가 가능하다.
