PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus capable of having a bed rising or lowering action carried out with an extension top plate attached.SOLUTION: The X-ray CT apparatus includes a subject loading and moving section for being loaded with the subject as well as moving a subject in a vertical direction or a horizontal direction, and a gantry for moving the subject to a more desired position by use of the subject loading and moving section and obtaining a desired cross sectional image of the subject.
