The aerosol delivery system includes an aerosol generator, which aerosols the fluid to be delivered to the patient. The aerosol generator has a housing having a fluid chamber in fluid communication with the housing inlet and the housing outlet. In the housing, the aerosol generator has a support plate having a through hole in fluid communication with the housing outlet. The vibrable member is coupled to the support plate across the aperture. Piezoelectric actuators are also coupled to the support plate and expand and contract in operation to vibrate the vibrable member, thereby making the fluid an aerosol.
