A medical device (an electrode catheter 1) includes: a tube-shaped member (a catheter tube 2) having flexibility； a handle 3 provided on a proximal end side of the tube-shaped member； and operation wires 41a and 41b each having a proximal end extending from inside of the tube-shaped member toward the handle 3 and provided for deflecting a region near a distal end of the tube-shaped member.
