PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cultivation pot most suited for an epiphyte orchid and capable of skillfully raising the epiphyte orchid even by a beginner because years of experience to some extent are required until the epiphyte orchid is skillfully raised in the present situation in which a biscuit pot conventionally extremely usually used is employed to continue cultivation while devising a planting material and any cultivation pot realizing the desire is not yet obtained though a cultivation pot holding properties good in drainage and excellent air permeability required for cultivating and raising the epiphyte orchid is requested. SOLUTION: This cultivation pot for an epiphyte orchid is obtained by removing an expanded thin film remaining in an open-cell polyurethane foam and forming a three-dimensional reticulate skeletal structure 1 from a polymer so as to make relatively coarse continuous holes 2 occupy most of the structure. Furthermore, the cultivation pot is composed of a material prepared by coating the constitution with a slurry of ceramics, drying and baking the coated material, converting the three-dimensional reticulate skeletal structure 1 into ceramics.
