The present invention relates to a Streptomyces sp. strain having antibacterial activity and, more specifically, to a novel strain of Streptomyces sp. DUCC501 which includes entomopathogenic fungi and phytopathogenic fungi, and shows an antifungal effect for wide range of eumycetoma, and to a composition for controlling plant disease and a useful composition for controlling insect diseases including the novel strain.본 발명은 항균활성을 갖는 스트렙토마이세스속 균주에 관한 것으로, 보다 구체적으로는 곤충병원성곰팡이는 물론 식물병원성 곰팡이를 포함하여 광범위한 진균종에 대해 항진균 효과를 나타내는 신균주 스트렙토마이세스속(Streptomyces sp.) DUCC501, 상기 신균주를 포함하는 식물병 방제용 조성물 및 유용곤충질병 방제용 조성물에 관한 것이다.
