PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toilet apparatus capable of maintaining cleanliness of a bowl surface while suppressing a reduction in effect of suppression of dirt adhering to the bowl surface of the toilet bowl.SOLUTION: A toilet apparatus includes: a light source device that applies ultraviolet rays to a bowl part formed with a photocatalytic film a pre-function part that wets a surface of the bowl part with water before a toilet bowl is used a human body detection part that detects the presence of the human body in a toilet room a toilet bowl washing detection part that detects a users intention of toilet bowl washing and a control part.
