<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate problems such that by the single application of a bactericidal compound having melanin biosynthesis inhibitory activity, there are cases that the sufficient controlling effectiveness of controlling rice blast disease is not neccesarily obtained depending on conditions such as the amount of application and method for the application, etc. <；P>；SOLUTION: This method for controlling the rice blast disease comprising a process of simultaneous or combined application of the bactericidal compound having the melanin biosynthesis inhibitory activity and a silicic acid-based fertilizer on a place for growing rice between a seedling growing period to an earing period is provided by having (1:15) to (1:1,400) weight ratio of the bactericidal compound to the available form of silicic acid in the silicic acid-based fertilizer.
