PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a degerming agent composition and a degerming method that permit effective degermination of a Gram-negative bacterium adhering to a textile product, particularly a cotton product.SOLUTION: The degerming agent composition comprises the following components (A)-(D). Component (A) is a zinc compound. Component (B) is at least one compound selected from the group consisting of polyethyleneimine, derivatives thereof, and a polymer having a constituting unit represented by general formula (II). Component (C) is hydrogen peroxide or a peroxide releasing hydrogen peroxide in water.
