There is provided a manually operated device (1) for the collection of bivalve organisms such as clams, cockles, and the like from the sandy seabed in shallow waters, which comprises a main first structure (2) and a secondary structure (3), further comprising collecting means (30,31,33) for collecting bivalve organisms from said sandy seabed, containing means (300) for containing said collected organisms, transmission means (5,50,34,35,36) for moving said collecting means (30,31), and supporting means (4) for supporting said manually operated device (1).
