PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prolonged-action preparation that releases an active ingredient in a digestive tract for a long period by controlling the release of the active ingredient at several levels.SOLUTION: A formulation for controlled release where the speed of releasing the active ingredient (proton pump inhibitor) is controlled at 2 or more levels comprises (1) a release control section A that can control the speed of releasing the active ingredient at a specified level, (2) a release control section B that can control the speed of releasing the active ingredient at another specified lower level than the speed of releasing in the release control section A and (3) if necessary, a release control section C that can control the speed of releasing the active ingredient at another specified higher level than the speed of releasing in the release control section B.
