The present invention provides a deodorant formulation in the field ofpersonal care products,which is free of the commonly used but potentially harmful ingredientspropylene glycol andtriclosan. The present invention also constitutes a more stable formulationwhen formed intosolid sticks as compared to such formulations of the prior art. The inventedformulationcomprises propanediol, ethylhexylglycerin, and grapefruit seed extract as theprincipaldeodorizing actives, and displays improved efficacy and stability overformulations of the priorart. The deodorant formulation of the invention may further be formed into astable solid stickproduct in accordance with the methods outlined herein.
