The present invention relates to a composition for preserving body fluids and a method for manufacturing the same. In order to analyze the exact genotype from a saliva sample, it is very important to preserve cells in the saliva without denaturation. However, saliva contains a number of proteases, nucleases, nasopharyngeal secretions, food residues, bacteria, and viruses that degrade cells, which reduces the accuracy of genotyping. Therefore, the necessity of developing a composition for preserving cells in saliva without denaturation from the moment of saliva collection until actual genotyping is performed is remarkable. Therefore, the present invention was devised to solve the problems in the prior art as described above, and relates to a composition for preserving body fluids and a method for manufacturing the same.
