The present invention relates to a novel strain of Trichoderma Harzianum MPA 167 and a use thereof, and more particularly, to a method for preventing plant diseases using Trichoderma Harzianum MPA 167, or to a method for promoting plant growth using Trichoderma Harzianum MPA 167. Also, the present invention relates to a method of producing volatile substance A from a culture of Trichoderma Harzianum MPA 167. The Trichoderma Harzianum MPA 167 according to the present invention can prevent the plant diseases and effectively promote the plant growth at the same time, having the availability as a composite formulation. Therefore, it is expected that the Trichoderma Harzianum MPA 167 can be produced and supplied as various microbial preparations and thus crops can be produced environment-friendly without using chemical preparations.본 발명은 신규한 트라이코데르마 하지아눔 MPA167 균주 및 이의 용도에 관한 것으로, 보다 구체적으로 트라이코데르마 하지아눔 MPA167을 이용해 식물 병원균을 방제하는 방법 또는 트라이코데르마 하지아눔 MPA167를 이용해 식물 생육을 촉진시키는 방법에 관한 것이다. 또한, 트라이코데르마 하지아눔 MPA167 배양물로부터 휘발성 물질 A를 생산하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 트라이코데르마 하지아눔 MPA167은 식물 병원균 방제 효과를 가지면서 동시에 식물의 생육을 효과적으로 증진시킬 수 있어 복합제제로서 유용성을 가지므로, 다양한 미생물제제로 생산, 보급되어 화학제제를 쓰지 않고 친환경적으로 농작물을 생산할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
