For example, a compression set system may include a compression stage configured to receive a flexible reservoir configured to receive a liquid mixture. The compression stage may include a base substrate and a compression substrate configured to apply a force to the flexible reservoir to generate pressure in the liquid mixture. The whole blood separating apparatus may include a sedimentation system that separates whole blood into a floating separation liquid containing supernatant and erythrocyte containing platelet-rich plasma.
