Both open and minimally invasive thoracic surgeries can be performed without lung isolation but One Lung Ventilation (OLV) provides an adequate working space in a relatively small anatomic compartment, better visualization and optimal surgical conditions. Selective left bronchial intubation may be required for right sided thoracic surgery and vice versa. Blind insertion technique is the only available method when paediartic fibreoptic bronchoscope is not available. Different techniques with variable success rate have been suggested for bronchial intubation with single lumen tube. We designed a breathing tube for blind selective bronchial intubation in pediatric patients, by providing two curvatures to a single lumen endotracheal tube.
