PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insertion attachment of an endoscope capable of reducing the pains of a subject and improving safety and the insertion method, regarding the insertion attachment of the endoscope to be used when inserting the endoscope into the esophagus, for instance, and the insertion method using the insertion attachment.
SOLUTION: The insertion attachment 10 is provided with a mouth piece 20, a tube introducing member 30 and a soft tube 40. The mouthpiece 20 is mounted on the mouth of the subject. The tube introducing member 30 is provided with a cylindrical guide member 31 in a short cylindrical shape and a support 32, and one end of the tube 40 is connected to the cylindrical guide member 31. The tube 40 is pushed into the cylindrical guide member 31, inverted and folded, the distal end of the insertion part 60a of the endoscope 60 is disposed to the cylindrical guide member 31 through the folded tube 40, the support 32 is connected to the endoscope 60, the flange 42 of the tube 40 is hooked to the mouthpiece 20, the insertion part 60a is inserted to the esophagus 80, and a protective film 40 is formed on the surface of the esophagus 80.
